Ms. Pierson current works as the CEO at the Sustainable Communities Development Company, LLC. Her eclectic career of over 30 years of management experience, has included managing a law firm, which specialized in real estate and business; heading business development consulting firm; and serving as general counsel to the Greater Washington Mutual Housing Association. In 2010, she started a firm, Sustainable Communities Development Co., LLC (SCDC) which was chosen to represent DC at a 2012 trade mission to Southern Africa featuring the development of sustainable housing. As a part-time endeavor, she moved the business to Prince Georges County and is now rehabbing houses there. She currently serves on the Vestry of her Church, Trinity Episcopal; is President of the Standing Committee for the Washington Diocese and a member of the Board of Directors for the Women of Color in Community Development.
