WCCD Next Generation Leaders Scholarship

The WCCD Next Generation Leaders Scholarship invests in emerging leaders advancing equitable community development.  It supports those pursuing careers across housing, economic development, policy, and related fields by removing barriers to entry and expanding access to opportunity.

Recipients receive a two-year Sustaining Membership to WCCD, including access to programming, events, career resources, and a network of leaders across the field. This scholarship reflects a shared commitment to building a stronger, more representative pipeline of community development leaders.

The WCCD Next Generation Leaders Scholarship is endowed by The Atkins Group, a firm providing community development finance advisory services to nonprofits, mission-driven developers, CDEs, and CDFIs. Founded in 2023, the firm focuses on expanding access to affordable capital for MBEs and anchor institutions in historically disinvested communities.
